Happy holidays!
Like every year my #holiday cards are ready. Every year i homage a non-catholic incarnation of the #December festivities. This year it’s #Ianua, “door” in latin and it refers to #Janus, the elder roman divinity, father of Saturn, and the keeper of passages, the guardian of changes. When the new year started he opened the doors (“ianuae”, from which January is named) to it, leaving the old one behind, embodying the eternal cycle of past and future with his two heads looking in opposite directions.
